C.J. STUSSI

C.J. Stussi is an international actress who is fluent in 5 languages. C.J.'s career began at age 3 when she won a model contest.  In the following years she starred in several commercial campaigns and numerous plays.  She gained her first international attention as one of the Swiss finalists for the feature film "Courage Mountain". Her first leading role in a major film was in the feature film ''Secret Trees of Inspiration'', which is based on her life.  In July 2017 she won Mentioning as Best Actress at the NYC Indie Film Awards.  In August 2017 she got admitted as an attorney in California after having graduated with a Master of Laws at the University in Fribourg, Switzerland, and a LL.M. at Southwestern Law School in Los Angeles. 

 

Early life

C.J. was born as the first of six children.  She was put in an Italian daycare and later into a private French School at age 5. In both cases, she had to learn a foreign language very quickly in order to communicate with her classmates.  In high school C.J. majored in sports and modern languages.

 

Career

C.J. won a model contest in Germany when she was 3 years old and started modeling and acting.  She then became a member of a local theatre company where she starred in several plays.  During that time she also starred in several commercial campaigns.  At age 11, C.J. was among the 3 Swiss finalists for the lead in "Courage Mountain", which gained her international attention.  In high school she enrolled in further acting and film classes. The first film she starred in and also helped produce from script to end was in high school.  The film was about the ''Women of the French Revolution'' and got great reviews.

 

In college, she worked several jobs including as a flight attendant, as a journalist publishing a culinary guide and as a public accountant and graduated with a Master of Law.  During that time she also became a member of the Swiss Study Foundation for outstanding students and appeared on several TV series and commercials.

 

In 2006, C.J. followed her dream and moved to Hollywood, being in the US for the first time.  She studied acting at the Ruskin School of Theatre (2 years), and the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in Los Angeles (2 years), where she appeared in several stage productions.  C.J. now works as an international actress with focus on the American, Spanish, Italian, French and German Film market.
